I found 'Secrets & Promises' to be well written and an enjoyable read. I am a total sucker for a brother's best friend forbidden romance.
This is the story of Jillian and Jameson. The characters in this book were believable, relateable and likeable. Jameson is a childhood friend of her brother's who left town to escape from his past.
Both Jameson and Jillian have survived a tragic past. Jillian has lost alot in her life but it doesn't keep her down, she is cheeky and loyal and tends to seeks her brother's approval at the cost of her own happiness.
Jameson has secrets and demons from his past that still haunt him, and give him cause to doubt himself. He really underestimates himself and his worth.
The fight to find happiness has many obstacles in their path, including Jillian's own stubborness.
'Secrets & Promises' is an engaging love story and I look forward to reading more from this author.
