Turn Me Loose - Rosalind James - Review

Turn Me Loose by Rosalind James

Turn me Loose

Paradise, Idaho #3

Rosalind James

Rochelle Marks is working hard to build a name for herself that has nothing to do with her pinup-girl curves. She’s made mistakes in the past, and now she’s trying to stop her little sister, Stacy, from making worse ones. Rochelle’s done with being nothing more than someone’s good time. Even if that someone is the one-night stand who turned her life upside down before vanishing—and who’s just arrived in Paradise, Idaho, looking to pick up where they left off.

Tech mogul Travis Cochran’s hard-won new priorities have brought him to town as a university lecturer, but he’s come for something else, too: the smart, sassy, gorgeous woman who’s been in his head for months. When Stacy’s choices draw her big sister into a web of down-home crime and cold-blooded murder, Travis’s mission gets a whole lot more urgent. Now convincing Rochelle to trust him isn’t just about winning her back. It may be the only way to keep her alive…

I am a huge Rosalind James fan.  Turn Me Loose, is the third book in the Paradise, Idaho series.  She has an amazing ability to create complex characters that are not only interesting and relatable but also totally believable.  Although this book, is the third in the series it could easily be read as a standalone.

Rochelle Marks and Travis Cochrane are a gorgeous pair.  I loved reading their story.  Rochelle and Travis have a lot of character traits that they share they have both been betrayed and hurt, and trust isn't something that always comes easily.  Rochelle hasn't had an easy life, and because of  her upbringing she is tough, a caretaker, a protector and extremely hard working.  Due to her past, she has difficulty trusting, particularly when it comes to her heart.

Travis and Rochelle have a shared past.  They also share an insane chemistry and physical attraction.  Travis has to work very hard to prove he is trustworthy and that he is worth taking a chance on.

This is a great second chance at love romance, that incorporates mystery and suspense of an unkown girl, I was completely enthralled and glued to this book.  I was thoroughly enthralled with this book I loved the cameo of secondary characters, that have appeared in previous books in this series.  A great blend of romance, mystery, hot love scenes, angst and conflict, you will not regret reading this book.

This book raises the issue of drug use.  In particular the abuse and misuse of persciption pain drugs, and the consequences that can occur, including overdosing.

This book brings out your emotions, I was laughing out loud at the banter between character, but also tearing up at points in this book.  The point of view this book was told from was quite interesting, it is told in dual point of view of both the hero and heroine, but also the odd chapter is from the point of view of the killer which is quite interesting.

I recieved this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review via NetGalley.
