Misadventures With a Manny is a poignant, yet sweet and fun, forbidden, slow burn romance, with strong themes of family and friendship.

Lincoln is a Manny, he loves children and comes to Vera’s rescue just when she needs him most.  He’s kind, caring, respectful and attentive and has a really big heart.  It doesn’t hurt that the moments he shares with Vera’s sons are so authentic and caring that it would melt the coldest of hearts.

Vera is a strong, resilient, and dedicated, yet vulnerable single mother.  She’s a bit of a workaholic, but her working is also a necessary evil in order to provide for her boys. 

I adored this pair and wanted more of their story.   The lust between this pair is instant and the sexual tension is palpable, they know any relationship between them will be full of complication, which results in quite a bit of angst as they contemplate the positives and negatives of a relationship.

Vera’s boys are just adorable, and I loved the little nuances in their relationship and interactions with Vera and Lincoln.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the few titles in the Misadventures series that I have read, and cannot wait for Ms Aleo’s next release.
