4 stars

Stadium of Lights is Max and Abby's story. They were childhood best friends, but haven't seen or spoken to each other in 10 years. It's quite a quick read and I'm sure anyone who enjoys a sports romance, a second chance romance or friends to lovers story will really enjoy this contemporary romance.

Max is the star quarterback  of an NFL team. He really is quite a douche bag, he's cocky, arrogant, a player, and really a bit of an ass. In fact to begin with his character is quite frustrating and not at all endearing but he definitely grows on you.

Abby is a physiotherapist who has a tendency to be a bit of a drama queen. Her unrequited love for Max as a teen has resulted in quite a few insecurities. She can't see past how she looked as a teenager, and can't see the beautiful feminine woman she has become. She works in a male dominated environment and, has no difficulty being tough, but doubts her ability to be feminine.

As much as this pair try to rekindle their past friendship so much gets in the way including feelings, their behaviors and miscommunication's prevent it from happening. This story is interesting and engaging. At times both characters could be frustrating and but they grew on me as a story progressed and I quite enjoy this book.
