Tragic - Devney Perry - Review Tour

Kaine Reynolds wants nothing more than solitude. After an unthinkable tragedy destroys his family, he’s cut off all ties to his former life so he can battle his grief the only way he knows how.

Alone.

So when Piper Campbell knocks on his door, rambling on about being his new neighbor, he slams the door in her face.

But Kaine’s gruff demeanor doesn’t scare her. She’s set on living in Montana and starting over after a terrible divorce. And she wouldn’t mind having a fling to chase away the pain of her husband’s betrayal. Her handsome, albeit rude, neighbor is the perfect candidate.

Yet what neither of them suspect is that their no-strings affair will result in the surprise of Piper’s lifetime—and Kaine’s worst fear.

5 Stars

Tragic is the third title in the Lark Cove series, and once again I was astounded by the beautiful, heartwarming, poignant and inspiring tale that Devney Perry crafted.

Piper and Kaine's story is an emotional and unique enemies to lovers, slow burn romance that has all the feels.  Their tale is an intense, yet romantic story of loss, depression, betrayal and heart break, hope and healing.

Piper and Kaine are mature, complex and well developed characters, who are tormented by their pasts.

Piper is compassionate, caring, resilient and hard working.  She's a very down to earth heroine, who is incredibly friendly but can also be quite feisty.

Kaine is gruff, brooding and tormented and craves the solitude and isolation of his cabin in the woods.

The chemistry and connection this pair shares is intense and raw and full of passion.

I adored this story full of unexpected twists and turns, and cannot wait for the release of Tinsel.
