Superfan - Sarina Bowen - Review

Sometimes lady luck shakes your hand, and sometimes she smacks your face. Sometimes she does both on the same day.

Three years ago I met the most amazing girl in the world. We were both down on our luck. Then I got that call—the one that tells you to get your buns on a plane to go meet your destiny.

But the girl was left behind. I didn’t have her phone number, and she didn’t know my real name.

While I became a professional hockey player, she became a superstar, with platinum records and legions of fans. And a slick, music producer boyfriend who treated her badly.

But fate wasn’t done with us yet. When Delilah turns up at a hockey game, I can’t resist making contact. The internet swoons when I ask her out on a date.

She might not remember me. But her jerkface ex does. He’ll do anything to keep us apart.

Good thing athletes never give up. This time I’m playing for keeps.

4.5 Stars Whilst Superfan is the sixth title in the Brooklyn Bruisers series, it can easily be read as a standalone. If you've read the previous books, many past favourites make a cameo appearance, which I loved. Superfan is a sports romance featuring a musician singer/songwriter. If you love a Rockstar romance, this might just be the title for you. It's also a sweet, second chance romance, that is sure to leave you with a smile upon your face. Silas is such a sweet, kind and swoon worthy hero. Despite the fact that he's an NHL goalie, his success hasn't gone to his head and he's really down to earth. Delilah is strong, independent and resilient. Despite her success she's quite vulnerable and insecure when it comes to her own worth. The interactions between Silas and Delilah are sweet, flirtatious and heart warming. The chemistry they share is undeniable and oozes off the page. I will be eagerly anticipating the next release in the Brooklyn Bruisers series.
