Synopsis
Once Rose Fisher makes a decision, that’s it. End of story.

Like when her ex, Patrick, dumped her out of the blue, then showed up with a super hot, tatted up sex kitten on his arm. Then it was over for good. The end. Poof. Dead to her. Except he was everywhere — down the hall, at the bar with their friends, worming his way into her dreams.

But with their friends paired off, they’re left alone more and more. Rose is determined to keep him friendzoned — doesn’t matter that he stares at her with a smolder that drops all panties in a ten foot radius. She’s over him, and she’ll prove it by getting back into the dating game, Patrick be damned.

Patrick Evans is no stranger to consequences. When your mother walks out, your dad drifts away. When you leave home, you’re on your own. And when you run away from the girl you love, you lose her. He finally has an opportunity to rebuild the bridge he burned, and it’s not one he’ll take for granted. But he’ll have to fight for her, even if it hurts. Even if it means he’ll walk away brokenhearted. Because deep down, he knows that she’s it for him.

The trick will be to get her to admit she feels it too.

About the Author
Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom; she has three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife; even though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. Her favorite word starts with f and ends with k.

From roots in Houston, to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

Needing to Fall - Ryan Michelle - Review

Needing to Fall

Needing to Fall
By Ryan Michelle

Synopsis

Have you ever sunk inside yourself to a place of darkness so deep you couldn’t see the light? Had no hope? Felt completely alone in a world filled with so many people?

I have. I’ve lived it, breathed it.

Why?

Because life hated me.

It disliked me from the moment of conception, despised me when I was born, loathed me when I bounced from each foster home, and kicked me in the gut when I watched the one thing that meant everything to me leave.

For years, I drifted, unable to find my footing, never knowing what the word stable meant. Then a single moment in time rocked me to my core, changing me and making that solid ground I so desperately craved crumble at my feet, causing me to fall farther than I’d ever imagined.

The darkness of the swirling tornado that is depression captured me, pulling me down to its depths, drowning me, suffocating me, owning me.

A depth so deep, I didn’t think I’d survive and didn’t care if I did. I only wanted peace. I wanted the pain to disappear. I wanted to be … free.

Needing to fall into the cyclone of darkness was the only way I could find the light.

Review

I love the Ravage MC Series and was so excited when i received an ARC of Needing to Fall. As always Ryan Michelle did not disappoint, this book is a five star read. But in saying that this book is very different from her previous works. This story is quite dark, gritty and desperate revolving around the very personal demons that are PTSD and Depression. This story is very different to the normal style of romance i read, it was full on and was so emotive, raw and heartbreaking to read. I spent a great deal of the book reading it with tears streaming down my face, have a box of kleenex nearby.
The title of this book couldn't be more accurate - the need to fall to pick yourself up again. This is a beautiful story of finding yourself.
Rayne is such a tortured soul with a life full of pain and disappointments but with love, courage, determination and strength she pulls her way back. Lynx has his own demons to fight with PTSD but boy did i love his character. One word to describe this alpha male is yum!
I literally couldn't put Needing to fall down and finished it in one sitting.
This story is so well written with a depth of emotion and connection to the reader you rarely find.
Having someone close who has struggled with depression and had similar issues to Rayne this book was doubly emotive for me.
I loved the courage, love and determination in this book and the cameo by the Ravage boys.

Manaconda - Cari Quinn, Taryn Elliot - Review

Manaconda

By Taryn Elliott & Cari Quinn

Series - Hammered #1

Synopsis

My name is Hunter Jordan, lead singer of Hammered and no, I didn't name my c*ck Manaconda.

Rolling Stone did.
On the front cover of their damn magazine.
I still haven't lived it down. And now our record label wants to maximize the frenzy.
So, I have a brand new PR person–Kennedy McManus.
And she's making me insane.
I don't know whether to ignore her, yell at her, or push her up against the wall and kiss her smart mouth shut.
I ended up kissing her.
Come on, I mentioned how exasperating she was, right?
That's when it blew up in both our faces.
Now, the tabloids think she's my girlfriend. My record label would rather have me remain the single manwhore of the ages.
Kennedy thinks I'm the manwhore anyway. She wants me for a quick fling and nothing more.
I just want Kennedy.
Man, I'm so screwed.

Review

Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott did not dissapoint and did a fabulous job of introducing us to Hammered.  Hunter Jordan (aka Manaconda) is the lead singer of the band Hammered, a sexy rock star super sized sex god with a side of sweetness. Hunter wants the focus to be on his bands ability to create music, rather than a part of his anatomy that was photographed by Rolling Stone magazine.  Kennedy McManus is the career driven PR rep with balls of steel hired to put a positive spin on the Manaconda madness and to increase the

Hunter and Kennedy have a scorching hot chemistry that flares every time they are in the same space.  They find themselves in some outrageous situations, that are highly entertaining and will have you laughing out loud.

This story had a little bit of everything romance, sweetness, humor and angst. I loved how the characters developed and the flirty and humorous banter they share.  The love scenes whilst explicit and hot as any reader of Cari & Taryn has come to expect and love. In saying that they are mixed with moments of sweetness, that shows the connection the characters share.

"He broke away from my kiss and linked our fingers.  Not just the way someone would pull someone along.
No, he always linked our fingers as if he wanted to touch every surface of my skin"

If you are a fan of rockstar romance and in particular the Lost in Oblivion series will love Manaconda.  When reading the story i drew many similar personality traits between the character Keys and Jazz of the lost in oblivion series.

Cari & Taryn are the queen's of the cliffhanger ending so it was something i was expecting.  Unlike some cliffhangers it didn't leave me feeling annoyed or frustrated.  Im really looking forward to reading the next installment to see how the relationship develops.
