She's a poor little rich girl.

With a vindictive mother and an obsessed brother-in-law, all Adyson Sloan wants is a little freedom—for her and her sister. She dreams of having a little room to breathe and making her own choices. But when she's kidnapped by the Grim Bastards MC, freedom comes at a much higher price. Terrified, but determined to get back to her sister, Addy’s plans are ruined when she falls for a bastard with a chip on his shoulder.

He's a bastard without a heart.

Sergeant at Arms Brew Decker plays by his own rules. To him, nothing is sacred but the brotherhood. He lives and dies by the club and would do anything for them—even kidnap an innocent woman. After all, she's merely a pawn in the bigger game. But everything changes when he meets Addy. Suddenly, he'd do anything for his captive.

Can love between a rich girl and a bastard survive without someone losing it all?

This is the second book in the Grim Bastards series. This is Brew and Addy's story, who first appeared in Dirty Bastard. This book could easily be read as a standalone, but you get more background by reading Dirty Bastard as the start of both books overlaps, but from different points of view.

I love an MC read and this has all the elements romance, heat, angst, drama and honor. This book is a highly emotional read, quite a few scenes are completely heart wrenching.

Addy and Brew are highly complex characters. They both have a great deal of baggage, they need to sort through in order to find their happy ever after. Brew is a protector by nature, and he's the sergeant at arms for the Grim Bastards MC. Adds life appears perfect from the outside she's a college student from a wealthy family, but in reality it is anything but perfect. I loved Brew and Addy's chemistry, and it leads to some pretty hot love scenes.

This book may be difficult for some people to read as it has elements of physical and psychological abuse and rape. This book is definitely not for readers looking for a hearts and flowers romance. In saying that this book is an amazing read. This book is really well written.

The duo of Emily Minton & Shelley Springfield have written an amazing MC series that takes you on a roller coaster of emotions. The twists and turns are unexpected and kept me thoroughly engaged and enthralled. I thoroughly enjoyed Filthy Bastard and I can't wait to read the next installment in the Grim Bastards series.
