Replay - Amy Daws

 Replay Cover-wrap-LESS GREEN-front--

Replay by Amy Daws is LIVE!

Anyone can fall for her brother’s best friend…Tilly Logan fell for his enemy.

Football club lawyer, Santino Rossi is known in the locker room as the two-month chump. For years he’s been on a mission to find someone he can share his basil plant with and cure him of his former playboy ways.

Tilly Logan is a fiery, Scottish lass who didn’t bat an eye five years ago when a smoldering Italian pulled her into a nightclub bathroom. He was dark, dangerous, and exactly the good time Tilly was looking for—even if he worked for her over-protective brother’s team.

But a lot has changed and when Tilly returns to London five years later only to find herself trapped in an elevator with the smoldering Italian, it isn’t a happy reunion. Especially because her brother blames Santino for her high tailing it back to Scotland in the first place.

Tilly doesn’t want a replay of past mistakes and reconnecting with Santino is playing with fire.

But if they keep their relationship a secret, it could be worth the burn.

Replay is a second chance romance, set in the Harris Brothers world, featuring Tilly and Santino.

Tilly is the younger sister of Mac who appeared in Blindsided, and hasn’t always made the best choices, but is doing her best to turn her life around and not fall into the same old patterns when she returns to London.  Tilly is an endearing and likeable character and despite her flaws, She’s strong, resilient, stubborn, intelligent and loving.

Santino is quite different to how his character was portrayed in Blindsided.  Even though he has a well-earned reputation as a ladies’ man, he’s an intriguing character with more to him than meets the eye.

I loved seeing more of Mac, Freya and the Harris clan and loved the witty, sassy, fun and flirtatious banter that flows throughout this story.

The connection between Tilly and Santino is undeniable and I loved both their passion and patience that they have with each other.

Another engaging and entertaining read with Amy Daws signature blend of emotion, heat and humor.

“Heading out already?” Tilly’s voice croaks, wavering slightly at the end as she stands behind me in the lift.

I exhale slowly, trying to calm my temper. Is it actually anger I’m feeling? No, no, that would be too easy. It’s more than that. Deeper.

It’s hurt.

Tilly Logan managed to fucking wound me in a way no woman ever has before.

“Yes,” I clip, staring up at the floor numbers as they tick downward at a snail’s pace.

Don’t engage, Santino. Don’t engage. It’s not worth it. Just wait for the lift ride to be over so you can both get the hell out of here.

“Didn’t like the band?”

“Band was fine.”

“Early meeting tomorrow morning?”

“Nope.” Just leave me alone, Tilly. You don’t want me to drop truth on you right now.

A few seconds of silence before, “Then why leave so early?”

“Why are you leaving early?” I snap, unable to hide the annoyance in my voice. I glance over my shoulder and add icily, “You’re usually up for a good party.”

“The same could be said for you,” she retorts, her eyes narrowed in challenge.

I bark out a laugh. “It’s funny how things change, isn’t it?”

Suddenly, the lift stalls, and the lights go black leaving only the red emergency bulb illuminating the small space.

“What the fuck?” Tilly shrills, and we both look over at the lift panel to see that we’ve stopped. “What’s happened?”

“I don’t know.” Stepping up to the keypad, I press the emergency call button.

“Oiy, can I help you?” A voice crackles through the small speaker.

“Yes, our lift just stopped, and the emergency light came on,” I reply crisply.

“Yes, we can see that. Our repairman will head up right now to see what all the fuss is about.”

“Fuck,” Tilly mutters and then steps forward. “Can we get out and walk down?”

“You want to walk down fifty floors in that?” I point at her dress and shoes, my irritation ratcheting up to a whole new level as I realise she would rather hoof it down a million flights of stairs than be stuck in this lift with me.

“You’re stuck between two floors, Miss, so that won’t be possible. No worries, though. We’ll do our very best to get you out as soon as possible.”

“Oh my God,” Tilly groans when the speaker shuts off. Turning, she runs her hands through her long hair. “This is awful.”

“Calm down,” I grumble, not able to control the disdain in my voice as I watch her shift nervously in the small space. “I won’t be bothering you.”

We're Made of Moments - Molly McLain

 We were made of moments.

A handful of nights.
Two weeks of passion.
Four years of denial.

Jesse
She was never mine to keep, still I took every second that girl was willing to give me.
I always knew she’d go back to him.
But I never expected she’d take a piece of me with her.

Hayden
He changed my life forever, and it happened long before our two weeks together.
I didn’t mean to fall for him.
But how could I not when he gave me the most precious gift of all?

We’re Made of Moments (A Cole Creek Novel) is the first book in a brand new, small town romance series by Molly McLain. This series is full of Molly’s guaranteed feel-good vibes, amped up emotion, and page-sizzling heat. If you liked the River Bend and Velocity series, you will LOVE Cole Creek!

“Daddy’s here!” Jett shrieks from the first floor and, just like that, my stomach drops to my toes.
Lane winks. “You got this, gorgeous.”
I know I do. But that doesn’t mean I have to like any part of it.
When he turns away, I paste on my game face and chink my armor firmly into place, just like I do every other Friday. I also send up a prayer for extra grace this week, because these exchanges seem to be getting harder and harder. I’m not sure why, but I feel the unease creeping in a little more with every swap.
“Mama, come on!” Jett yells again, and I pull in a deep breath. Shoulders back, girlfriend.
I make it halfway down the stairs when my son yanks the front door open and launches himself at the brick wall of a man standing on the other side.
Big arms wrap around our little boy and lift him from the floor, while my lungs hold every ounce of air in my body hostage.
My son adores his father. Of that, I am absolutely certain. And when aquamarine eyes, the exact same color as Jett’s meet mine over the top of our little boy’s head, I realize that no matter how hard I try to prepare myself, this will never get easier.

Were Made of Moments is a single parent, second chance, small town romance featuring Haydon and Jesse.  This pair of characters are incredibly endearing and likeable, and they share an amicable, yet complicated co-parenting situation.

The chemistry between this pair is palpable, and oozes from the page, despite the complications that surround them.

Their story is emotional, but completely captivating and I look forward to future additions to the Cole Creek series.

Cranky Pants - Kayt Miller

Maggy Fitzgerald is happy. She works at her best friend’s flower shop with the full knowledge that this is probably as good as its going to get. That is until that same friend talks her into going out to a biker bar so they can "live on the wild side" for a night.

Nate Black is cranky. He has a right to be. At least that’s what he thinks. Spending an evening now and then, drinking a beer with the guys EasyRiders, is one of the only things that he enjoys, sort of.
Then, he meets her.
A sexy, curvy woman who makes him smile. Laugh.
A dangerous woman.
Good thing he’s an a**hole because getting rid of her the next morning is easy.
The hard part?
Forgetting her.

Livin' On The Edge - Winter Travers

It was just supposed to be one drunken night between Zephyr and Lynn.

One. Night.

Except Zephyr can't get the pretty shrink out of his head when he should be focusing on club business.

Club business, that if he isn't careful, could get him killed.

Can Zephyr balance on the edge of being with Lynn, and his responsibilities to the club?

Everyone knows you don't mess with the Kings of Vengeance, but sometimes people need reminding.

Livin’ on the Edge is the sixth title in the Kings of Vengeance MC series and features Zephyr and Lynn.   It’s a fast paced, engaging and entertaining read, sprinkled with Winter Travers’ signature brand of humor throughout.

Zephyr was quite the surprise and quite different to what I expected.  He’s a protective, caring alpha hero.    Lynn had a difficult childhood and had to grow up way too soon, and whilst she’s a caretaker, she also struggles to give up control and allow others to make their own mistakes, and make her life easier.

Although I thoroughly enjoyed this title, it left me with more questions than answers and I look forward to Brick’s story next.

The Sin of Kissing You - Maya Hughes

I don’t deserve her forgiveness, but I can’t stop fighting for it.

Bay ran from me four years ago and I can’t blame her. I broke her heart and my own with one split second mistake.

Now we’re thrown together for four weeks. Training camp after the draft is the final step to cement my pro football careers, but after seeing her again, she’s the only future I want.

If I were a better guy, I’d walk away and let her live her life. Maybe I haven’t learned my lesson yet because I can’t stop thinking about her. And I won’t stop until she knows how much I still love her.

The sins of my past are hard to run from, but I’ll battle every single one, if it means one more chance with her.

The Sin of Kissing You is the second book in the new Fulton U universe sports romance, Falling trilogy.

Bay and Dare’s story continues in the Sin of Kissing You and it’s just and emotional and angsty as you’d expect.

Dare (Keyton) and Bay are characters that are flawed, but this makes them more realistic for me.  They both on the verge of making their dreams come true, and they have a complicated relationship, with being affected by their past, and their relationship is constantly facing new challenges.

I’m eager to see where their story goes next in The Hate of Loving You.

Badly Behaved - Meagan Brandy

I'm a Monet.

A chameleon.

I'm whatever I must be.

And what I must be is a flawless daughter, a skilled socialite, and the perfect prize to the man who signed along the dotted line.

Not that I'm complaining.

I'm all for a contractual agreement, a quick and clean catapult into the next phase of rich girl life. One that takes little thought, less effort, and zero devotion.

It's exactly what I want.

An impassive life.

A calculated future.

Or, it was until the lights went out, darkness took over, and I learned what it meant to live.

To feel.

To fall.

But everyone knows what thrives in the night burns in the light and flames were among us.

There is no escape.

No turning back.

No ending within my control.

My mother always says our choices determine our consequences.

I hate it when she's right.

__

This is an all-new 103k word standalone romance about a rich girl and the trouble she finds herself in when she catches the eye of a guy unlike the ones in her world.

Badly Behaved is the story of Jameson and the Blackout Boys.  It’s a unique, intriguing, unpredictable and captivating read.

Jameson comes from a life of wealth and luxury, but in many ways she’s quite down to earth, and non-judgmental, but also quite cold and indifferent to life and the choices that have been made for her.

The Blackout Boys have an intriguing relationship with an intense relationship that goes deeper than mere friendship.

I loved the interactions, banter and connection that this group shares and was thoroughly captivated from beginning to end.

This title is a story of family, friendship and fighting for what you want that you soon wont forget.

Jailbait - Lani Lynn Vale

The first time I saw her was across the room at a bar. I had no idea at the time that she was only sixteen. All I knew was that she was beautiful, she was sending me do-me vibes from across the room, and I was fresh off a deployment where there’d been nobody but men for nine of the longest months of my life.

The second time that I saw her was at a court hearing that would decide how long I’d be sent to prison for. She was a cute little curly-haired blonde with wide, expressive eyes, a banging body, and the reason that I’d gone to prison in the first place.

The third time I saw her was through a glass divider of the prison visitation room as she waited for her stepfather, my lawyer, to tell me how sorry he was that he lost my case. Especially when I’d been the one to kill the man that was about to kill his daughter.

The last time, the time that I decided enough was enough, was when I saw her at my bar eight weeks after I’d been set free.

Unlucky for her, I’d stopped being a good guy about two seconds after those bars closed behind me twelve years ago. Now all that was left was a shell of a man that didn’t see the good in anything. Anything except for her.

Jailbait is the third title in the Souls Chapel Revenants series featuring Trick and Swayze, and their story is packed full of suspense, intrigue, drama and danger.  This series is a unique MC romance, with men who were incarcerated by a miscarriage in justice and deserve a second chance.

Swayze is a sweet, witty, sassy, strong and resilient, heroine who doesn’t back down from a fight.  She’s a feisty lawyer who is determined to make up for injustices of her past.

Trick has a lot of well-deserved anger at himself and the misjustice that befell him.  He’s a protective, bossy, dominant and demanding alpha.

Both Trick and Swayze are incredibly stubborn and strong willed.

The connection between Trick and Swayze is instantaneous and whilst their story is messy, raw and heart-breaking, it’s also very heartfelt and you can’t help but love this duo.

I’m thoroughly enjoying this series and the little snippets of information that are revealed with each title.  I loved the cameo appearances throughout from the characters who appeared in the two previous titles, and look forward to getting to know the other heroes better and their stories with future additions to the series.

Southern Heart - Natasha Madison

Some secrets have a way of coming back and haunting us, no matter how much we try to bury them.

Chelsea
Coming back home was supposed to be normal.
Not that my life had ever been normal, but it was getting there.
Then I opened the door and found a man—broken, bloodied, and fighting for his life.
I don’t know why, but I said I would take care of him. I had to. Needed to.
He was a mystery, showing up from out of nowhere. But he might have already stolen my heart.

Mayson Carey
The only thing I have ever wanted in my entire life was to forget who I was. Joining the military helped me do this.
Keep your head down and glide through life was my new motto. No strings, no relationships. Nothing.
Everything was working until a knock at the door had me face-to-face with the reason I was running.
So I ran—I fell into her arms, and she fell into my heart, but I know better than to think it’ll last.
Some secrets have a way of coming back and haunting us, no matter how much we try to bury them.

Southern Heart is the fifth title in the Southern Series.  I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys interconnected standalones with strong themes of family, friendship, love and community.  Chelsea and Mayson’s story had me captivated from beginning to end.  Southern Heart is an emotional story, with moments that are sweet, sexy and passionate it also has its fair share of intrigue, and suspense.

Chelsea is the younger sister of Ethan featured in Southern Sunrise and the daughter of Savannah and Beau who were featured in Southern Storm.  She’s just returned home with a nursing degree, and although she is ready to put it to good use, she didn’t expect to need put her knowledge and skills to the test quite so soon.   Chelsea is a strong, intelligent, fierce, sassy and brave heroine who isn’t afraid to put herself out there and you can’t help but love.

Mason has his fair share of demons, having survived a nightmare of a childhood and then joining the military.  He’s a loner by necessity, doing his best to avoid his past.  Although he’s a charming, strong alpha he’s also quite vulnerable.

The connection between this pair is passionate and their chemistry is undeniable.   I grow to love this group more and more with each addition to the series and look forward to the rest of this generation finding their happy ever after.
