Beneath the Wreckage is the fifth and final title in the Wrecked series, featuring Hunter and Piper.  It’ bittersweet that this series has ended, but in saying that I’ve been eager for Hunter’s story since he first appeared as a side character in Reckless Memories, and I wasn’t disappointed.

As a child Piper spent her summers on Anchor Island at Whispering Falls, until tragedy struck.  Ten years passed, and she’s returned to the island, to overhaul the resort and return it to its former glory.  She’s strong, resilient, independent, ambitious, and incredibly hardworking, and determined to prove she can succeed.

Hunter owns a construction company and forms a friendship with Piper, and as they renovate and rebuild the resort the attraction and chemistry between this pair builds, as does his protective and caring nature.

This title oozes suspense, mystery and danger and is full of twist and turns.  I love the strong themes of family, friendship and community that flow throughout and as sad as I am to see the end of this series I loved the cameos from past characters, and hope we get a second-generation series with Will, Ava and Mia in the future.

When Sparks Fly is a sweet and sexy friends to lovers romance featuring Avery and Declan. 

This pair have been best friends since college, they own and live together in a condo, and both have some baggage from their past and struggle to form lasting relationships.

Avery and Declan are endearing and relatable and I particularly enjoyed the development of their characters over the course of this title.

Avery is the eldest of the three spark sisters who run Spark House an event venue and hotel.  She’s independent, confident, and driven to make her family business a success.  When she’s unfortunately injured, she’s put at the mercy of others, and has no choice but to let them take control.

Declan has a well-earned reputation with the ladies.  He’s charming, charismatic, and loyal, and despite some of his early actions he has a big heart and will do anything for those he cares for most.

I enjoyed the undeniable chemistry between this pair, and hope that at some point in the future we will get the stories of the other two Spark sisters.

Faking It With #41 - Piper Rayne

Faking it With #41 is the third addition to the Hockey Hotties series, and although a fake relationship trope is generally not one of my favourites, I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet, sexy and humorous read.

Ford is a sexy single father, professional athlete, and heir to Jacobs Enterprises.  He has no desire to take on the family business, and does everything to rebel and annoy his father, but behind the impulsive and cocky exterior is a charming, devoted, and protective single father.

Lena is the PR Rep for the Jacobs family.  She’s an endearing, yet complex character who is bold and strong, but also patient, dedicated, and big hearted.  She’s been let down one too many times and it’s left her incredibly self-reliant and with issues when it comes to relationships and trusting others.

The banter between this pair is fun, flirty and antagonistic, but also quite humorous and is sure to leave you with a smile upon your face.

The chemistry and heat between this pair is undeniable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the cameos throughout of the previous couples who found their happy ever after.

Overall, another enjoyable read from the writing duo of Piper Rayne.

I’ve been a fan of Janie Crouch, since discovering the Linear Tactical series, and as Ian and Wavy, were side character in the series, I was eager to start to Zodiac Tactical series and it didn’t disappoint.

Code Name: Aries is a fast paced, heartfelt, and suspenseful read full of intrigue, action, and drama.  Wavy is the light to Ian’s darkness in this opposites attract romance.

Ian is the own of Zodiac tactical, who have a mission to eradicate Mosaic.  Ian is a brooding, gruff and stoic hero, who is powerful, intense, and incredibly protective of those he cares for most.

Wavy is the sister to Finn and Baby Bollinger and is in no way naïve to the evils of the word, but it doesn’t affect her cheery and friendly disposition.  She’s a fun, sweet and loving young woman and talented artist.

This title has a similar feel to the Linear Tactical series, with characters that share a strong bond of brotherhood, with amazing loyalty and camaraderie between them.  This instalment was an engaging and captivating read and I look forward to future addition to the series, and getting to know more about the side characters introduced in this title.

As well as cameos from several of the original wounded souls, reader are introduced to several new characters who I look forward to seeing more of in future additions to the series.

Mea and Docs story is an enjoyable slow burn romance full of intrigue, suspense, drama and miscommunications, and I look forward to the next title in the series.
