Ropes is the third title in the Burning Saints MC series. You could read it as a standalone, but I'd recommend reading the previous titles to have more knowledge of side characters and their back stories.
Ropes is an enigmatic, sexy, and sweet alpha, but he also has a darker, brutal side. He's persistent and determined and goes after what he wants. A surprising quirk to this character is his secret passion, that is quite surprising and goes against the stereotype of an alpha biker.
Devlin is an interesting heroine, she's strong, feisty and has a tendency to say exactly what's on her mind. She hasn't had an easy life, and is intent on fighting the attraction she feels for Ropes.
The chemistry this pair share is undeniable and their story has it's fair share of twists and turns.
I loved that the previous heroes and heroines appear throughout the storyline, and there were definite connections made with Jack's wife's work in reference to the Dogs of Fire, and also Harley Stone's Dead Presidents MC series.
A story that is suspenseful with equal parts heat, heart and humor, I will be looking forward to the next addition to this series.
