Headhunter is the second title in the With Me in Seattle Mafia series, featuring the Martinelli siblings. In this title you have the story of Shane Martinelli and Ivie Jordan, who both appeared prominently in the first title Underboss, in Shane’s brother Carmine’s story.
Shane is an enigmatic, yet intriguing hero who is not only part of a mafia family, but also works for the government. He’s a solitary man who enjoys his peace and quiet but is also incredibly lethal when required. Shane is protective, demanding alpha who live s a life full of intrigue and danger.
Ivie on the other hand is living a peaceful and quiet life working with her best friend Annika. She’s intelligent, independent, strong, sweet and resilient, and like many of Ms Proby’s heroines is quite relatable and has a headstrong streak.
Ivie and Shane’s story is full of heat, heart, action, intrigue and suspense, with more than a few surprising twists and turns. It’s a fast-paced romance and the connection and chemistry this pair shares is undeniable.
Whilst I enjoyed Underboss, I was completely captivated by Headhunter and cannot wait for the next installment featuring the third Martinelli brother Rocco/Rafe and Annika.
