 The Wicked Aftermath is the second title in The Wickeds” Dark Knights at Bayside and features Tank and Leah.  After reading Tank’s cousins story in A Little Bit Wicked I was eager to dive into this title, but completely unprepared for just how emotional it was going to be.  You will definitely need the Kleenex for this title.

Tank is a tattoo artist, business owner, volunteer firefighter and a dark knight.  He a big, bearded, tattooed and gruff biker whose appearance can be off putting, but underneath he has a huge heart.  He’s patient, understanding, compassionate and sensitive and determined to help anyone in need.  When it comes to those, he cares for he’s incredibly loyal and loving, and has a tendency to hold himself to a higher standard than those around him.

Leah is a waitress at the Salty Hog, the bar owned by Tank’s family and she’s more than a little intimidated by his size and persona and tends to avoid him despite the obvious attraction she feels.  Leah is strong, resilient and has endured a life with her fair share of loss and heartache.

The love scenes between this pair are intimate, steamy and passionate.

This title is both heartwarming and heartbreaking, with themes of love, hope, happiness, and loss.  I look forward to reading future additions to this series, and highly recommend keeping the family tree Melissa provides handy to keep all the cousins and siblings organized in your mind.
