I'm a huge fan of Winter Travers' writing and I was incredibly eager to read Roman and Sage's story after the bombshell that was dropped in Black Belt in Love. Black Belt Knockout is the fourth title in the Powerhouse M.A. series, and the final book of the series, but it can be read as a standalone.
Going into this title, Roman's reputation precedes him, anyone familiar with the series will be expecting a cocky, arrogant, selfish, immature, eternal bachelor. Much to my surprise we find that this alpha douche is quite enigmatic and when needed he steps up to the mat, he shows his true self. He's fun, protective, kind, caring, thoughtful and very loving.
Although Sage has made frequent appearances in the previous titles, not a lot was revealed of her character or her past, other than her fun, spunky and sassy personality. She's an endearing, strong single mother, who has issues with trust and has lost her belief in love.
The sexual tension between this pair just oozes off the page. Their chemistry and attraction is intense, passionate and undeniable. The love scenes they share are hot, steamy and sexy. The banter between not only Roman and Sage, but side characters as well is argumentative, fun, flirty and full of humor laced one liners.
I loved that we had cameo appearances from all the #KarateHotties and the epilogue was incredibly lovely but also bittersweet.
Overall Black Belt Knockout was my favorite of this series, which surprised me as throughout the series, Roman was my least favourite character, but he definitely grew on me as his true colours shone through. If you are looking for a sweet, sexy, swoon-worthy romance with equal parts heat, heart and steam look no further. As I've come to expect from Winter this title is well written, entertaining and completely engaging with plenty of moments that had me laughing out loud. I will be eagerly awaiting more of Winter's titles.

Winter Travers is a devoted wife, mother, and aunt turned author who was born and raised in Wisconsin. After a brief stint in South Carolina following her heart to chase the man who is now her hubby, they retreated back up North to the changing seasons, and the place they now call home.
