How to Date A Douchebag: The Lying Hours - Sara Ney - Review Blitz

ABRAHAM DAVIS—Honest Abe to his friends—IS IN OVER HIS HEAD...

He’s a fixer and a do good-er. The all-knowing, resident "grandfather" on the wrestling team who everyone relies on to fix their problems. His teammates go to him for everything; advice, homework, or when they need a sober driver at three in the morning--whether he likes it or not.

Abe’s current mission is easy: mend his roommates broken heart by helping him find a girlfriend on the LoveU app--without getting caught in the lie...

SKYLAR GABRIEL. IS. OVER. IT.

Over her bad grades. Over her meddling older brother and his two best friends. And over dating douchebags. What she wants to know is: where have all the nice guys gone?

She longs for a handsome, sweet, and honest guy who can make her laugh. In one last ditch effort to prove that he exists—Skylar turns to LoveU.

On her worst day, Skylar has no filter (it’s a miracle she hasn’t been ditched mid-date).

On her best, she’s as wholesome, and sweet, as pie.

On Thursday? She matches with Abraham Davis’s roommate.

Skylar Gabriel is falling for the wrong guy—she just doesn’t realize it yet.

Why?

BECAUSE ABE DAVIS IS A LIAR.

4 Stars

I'm a huge fan of Sara Ney's writing style.  I love her douchebag series, each one is engaging, entertaining and humorous with the perfect dose of heat and heart.

Abe and Skylar are wonderful characters.  For me they were some of the most relatable characters in the series to date.  Abe is sweet, intelligent and kind hearted, to the point others use him for it.   Skylar is sassy, snarky and fun.  A mediocre student who desperately wants to find love and a committed relationship.  Both are on the quieter side and very down to earth.

The banter and text conversations between thsi pair are witty, fun, flirtatious and full of humor.  Their connection and chemistry is undeniable, and I loved watching the mistruths unfold.

I absolutely adored the relationship Skylar shares with her quirky best friend Hannah, this duo had me laughing out loud at their interactions, and the epilogue has left me eager for more of these characters.

Whilst this title can be read as a standalone, if you are a fan of the series, there is a cameo appearance within the story line of one of my favorite douchebags.  I highly recommend the entire series for anyone who loves a romantic comedy or college based sports romance.
