I discovered K Bromberg's work with the Driven Trilogy, and became hooked with her unique story telling, and with Resist she takes us back to the same complex, intriguing characters, and compelling prose that not only entertains, but captivates your interest and draws you into their world.
Ryker and Vaughan are such complex, and intriguing characters. They have a lot in common both are driven, independent, strong willed and more than a little damaged by the events of their pasts. Vaughan is a strong, resilient female, but also has deep vulnerabilities. Ryker is a cocky, egotistical and ruthless alpha who is used to getting what he wants. He also has a softer side that i didn't expect to see.
The chemistry between this pair is undeniable, despite the fact that they tend to butt heads and argue frequently due to the similarities in their natures. Their interactions are fraught with angst and power struggles, but with every interaction the sexual tensions just oozes beneath the surface.
I was captivated by the cover of Resist and didn't realise that it was part of a series, and now it's left me with the biggest book hangover waiting to discover what will happen next.
