Solitude and motor oil meets soul food and wariness

I’m a grease-stained enigma.

A watcher, a protector, an ex-con, and a mechanic.

My name is Brick.

I’m old enough to know good things come to those who wait, and hungry enough to go after what I want.

I am a proud independent.

A nurturer, a cook, a casualty, and a grandparent.

My name is Lisa.

I’m cautious enough to keep my distance, and too wise to let a chance at love pass me by.

We seem unmatched—in race, in history, in lifestyle—but when tragedy leaves a baby in our care and a target on our backs, we discover the strength of family.

Unified.

Edge of Tomorrow is the third title in the Arrows Edge MC series.  Both Lisa and Brick have appeared in the previous titles in the series, and I was eager to read their story.

Lisa is resilient, independent and self-reliant woman of color.  She’s a head strong survivor, who doesn’t like to let others close or ask others for help.  She has a big heart and will do anything to protect her grandchildren.  Due to events in her past, she has difficulty trusting men, particularly white men.

Brick is an ex-con and mechanic at Arrows Edge who is determined to make up for the choices of his past.  He’s a protective, and possessive and when a change in circumstances finds him the guardian of a young baby, Lisa goes out of her way to help him with his second chance at having a family.

Edge of Tomorrow is a story of family, friendship, loyalty and loss. It’s a story of heat, heart with equal parts of action, intrigue and suspense.

There are cameos from several familiar characters from not only the Arrows Edge MC, but the On Call and Rock Point series.
