Forsaken Trail - Devney Perry

Forsaken Trail by Devney Perry is now live!

Aria Saint-James has planned the perfect getaway: sweatpants, takeout and two weeks alone with her sister and nephew. Nowhere on that list is wearing a low-cut dress and uncomfortable heels to attend a wedding where she knows neither the bride nor the groom. Toss in her nemesis, Brody Carmichael, and her road trip to Arizona is officially a bust.
But at least there is champagne.
She blames the bubbly for falling into bed with Brody that night. Enemy or no, the billionaire is irresistible in a tux. But after their one-night tryst, Aria has no choice but to cut her vacation short, returning home to escape his devilish smile, vowing never to see Brody again.
Except Aria gets a surprise a few weeks later--she's pregnant. When he learns that she's carrying his child, Brody offers Aria the chance of a lifetime. The catch? She has to live under his roof until the baby is born.
Either they'll kill each other in nine months. Or discover love buried beneath their hate.

Forsaken Trail is the fourth title in the Runaway Road series, features Brody and Aria.  Their story is an opposites attract, enemies to lovers romance.

This series revolves around six teenagers who lived and survived together in a junkyard and as adults are taking turns to drive a Cadillac across the country.  If you haven’t read the previous titles you can easily read Forsaken Trail as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading not only the previous book, but all of Devney Perry’s backlist.

Broderick ‘Brody’ was born into a life a wealth family and has never known a life without wealth and luxury.  Aria on the other hand spent several of her younger years living as a runaway in a junkyard.

Aria is driving the Cadillac from Oregon where she lives to her twin sister Clara and nephew August in Nevada.  As much as she can’t wait to spend some time with her sister, she’s not anxious to see her sister’s best friend and boss Brody.  When Clara is unable to attend a family wedding with Brody, Aria steps in and with the help of some alcohol and undeniable chemistry they discover that they don’t quite despise each other as much as they thought.

Aria is a smart, sensible, honest and feisty.  Her childhood has left her to be incredibly independent and headstrong, and resilient, who is incredibly driven and focused when it comes to her career working with plants.

Brody is a smart and sophisticated businessman, who can at times come across as being a tad pompous and arrogant, but underneath his gruff exterior is a thoughtful, caring and kind heart.

The animosity between this pair is just as apparent as the passion that they share.  Their banter is fun, flirtatious and antagonistic and sure to make you smile.  The chemistry between this pair is combustible and they have more in common than first meets the eye.  Both are incredibly stubborn and struggle with the demons of their past.

Overall this title is a hot, touching, sweet and emotional romance and a great addition to the series.

Take Me Away - Kelly Elliott

Take Me Away by Kelly Elliott is now live!

To love her is to forget she ever existed in my world.

When I'm not a test pilot flying for the U.S. Air Force, I can be found risking my life in other ways.

Skydiving. No problem.

Bungee jumping off a bridge. Like a pro.

Paragliding in Switzerland. Time of my life.

Zorbing in New Zealand. Fun as hell.

You see...all these life-risking adventures are not just a hobby for me, not just a way to pass the time. I need the adrenaline rush like I need my next breath. I'm addicted to it. It's the only thing that allows me to bury my painful past--even if only for as long as it takes for me to come down from the high. All that matters is that I'm able to forget. And every heart-stopping moment of it was working...at least, until she appeared back in my life.

Both my worst nightmare and my wildest dream all wrapped up in one beautiful woman...a woman I was still very much in love with.

And that's not the worst part...

Linnzi Cunningham has no idea who I am. She has no idea how intertwined our terrible pasts are--and for that, she is lucky.

She doesn't remember the night when everything important in her life, everything that she lived for, was taken from her by the man who promised he would always protect her.

That man was me.

To love her is to forget she ever existed in my world.

Take Me Away is the sixth title in the Southern Bride series, and features Linzi and Nolan.  Although this title is a standalone within the series, it does feature characters who appeared in Lucky In Love and I loved their cameo appearances throughout.

Linzi and Nolan’s story is a heartbreaking and emotional second chance romance.  This pair share an epic and deep love, with an undeniable connection despite the tragic events of their past.   A horrible accident left Linzi blocking out all memory of Nolan and the time they spent together as childhood sweethearts and left him suffering from unimaginable guilt and pain.  Eight years after the accident fate throws this pair together and they reunite.

This is a story is one of love, longing, loss, forgiveness, and heartache and will have you going through a gamut of emotions, from swooning, to laughter and tears.

Take Me Away is my favorite of the Southern Brides books and I look forward to Kelly Elliott’s next release.

Love Thy Neighbor - Teagan Hunter

Don’t fall for your roommate…especially when he’s your best friend.

Cooper Bennett is my best friend.

That’s all he is and all he ever will be.

Nothing will change that.

Accidentally seeing him naked? Please. So not a big deal.

Having less-than-tame thoughts? I mean, have you seen this guy? Who could blame me?

Kissing him? It was a one-time mistake, and it will not be repeated.

Falling into bed with him? Uh-oh…

It’s fine. We’re fine.

We’re Caroline and Cooper. Best friends until the end. Nothing has ever come our way that we couldn’t survive together.

Surely, we can handle this too…

Amazon US: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Q77Z4LD

Love Thy Neighbor is a light hearted, low angst and heartfelt romantic comedy and the second title in the Roommate Romps series.

Caroline and Cooper are complete opposites yet they also complement each other perfectly.  They’ve been best friends since they become neighbors as teen and have completely every milestone in their life together since.

Caroline is sweet, shy, reserved, and introverted who lacks the confidence to follow her dreams.  Cooper is cocky, arrogant and outgoing.

I love the interactions and banter that this pair share that is fun and flirty but also witty, sassy and snarky and the cameos from River and Dean are sure to add an extra level of entertainment and engagement.

Stay For Me - Corinne Michaels

She’s the girl who might be worth staying for.

Stay For Me by Corinne Michaels is now live!

From New York Times Bestselling author Corinne Michaels comes the final poignant love story in the Arrowood Brothers Series.

Hollywood taught me everything I know about relationships--except how to be in one. As an actor, I became an expert at faking it. Faking that I wasn't affected by my childhood. Faking that I was okay. Faking that I knew how to save the day, the girl, the whole damn world.

But I've always known the truth--I'm no one's hero.

Until I'm forced to move back to Sugarloaf for six months, and Brenna Allen offers me a chance to prove otherwise. She's everything I never knew I wanted, but can't have. Her broken heart, perfect face, and adorable children turn my world upside down. Instead of preparing for my next leading role, I'm directing a middle school play.

All to make her smile.

The more time I spend here, the more I want to stay. Build a life in this town that I swore I'd leave--for her.

But when the world comes crashing down around us, I'm forced to decide if staying for her is the right choice or if leaving is better for the woman I love.

Stay For Me is the fourth and final title in the Arrowood Brothers series featuring Jacob Arrowood.  This title is bittersweet, and will have you going through a gamut of emotions, from laughter to tears.

Jacob is a Hollywood movie star, but when he’s in Sugarloaf he’s just one of the Arrowood brothers, and despite the bond he shares with his brothers and their families, he can’t wait to escape back to his life.  Under the sexy, confident exterior is a big hearted, yet vulnerable hero.

After the death of her husband, Brenna and her two children Sebastian and Melanie move to Sugarloaf to be closer to her children’s grandparents.  Despite all that she has endured she’s incredibly strong, resilient, compassionate and caring.

Despite the fact that neither of them is looking for a relationship, the connection between this pair is undeniable, and their chemistry is intense.

Stay for Me is an engaging and entertaining title and I loved seeing more of Connor, Ellie, Declan, Sydney, Sean and Devney, and the bond that Jacob shares with Brenna’s son Sebastian is heart-warming.

Just when I though I had this story figured out the twists kept coming. I will be eagerly awaiting Corinnne’s next release

Depends on Who's Asking - Lani Lynn Vale

It was the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring…nope. No. Nuh-uh. That’s a lie.

The moment that Caro wakes up, she knows that she’s not alone.

One thump-thump from the living room and she quickly moves into action.

One 9-1-1 call later, and she’s ready to defend herself.

Only, she gets more than she bargains for when she steps out into her living room and comes face to face with a living, breathing nightmare.

And isn’t it just fitting that the man that saves her by coming down the chimney with a large black gun in his hand is named Saint Nicholas?

***

It seemed like the start of a bad joke.

Saint Nicholas comes down the chimney on Christmas Eve night, but he isn’t there to bear gifts. He’s there to take out the trash.

When he lands on his silent feet, he has no other choice but to put himself in harm’s way.

One look at Caro’s terrified face, and he can’t stop himself.

He steps in just as the bullets start flying, saving the damsel in distress and taking a bullet to the shoulder for his trouble.

But one thing he can say is, heroes always win the girl.

And Caro is the best Christmas miracle of all.

Depends on Who’s Asking is the twelfth and final title in the Swat Generations 2.0 series, featuring Caro and Saint.

Saint is an enigmatic hero who’s story I couldn’t wait to read.  Saint is a member of the KPD Swat team, and a protector with a big heart.  He’s reserved, quiet and a loner who’s been used to his own company since childhood.  Saint doesn’t trust of give affection easily as it was missing from his life in his early years.

Carolina ‘Caro’ is intelligent and independent, and surrounded by a loving family and friends.  She’s the daughter of Michael ‘Saint’ Perez and Nicole ‘Nikki’ Pena who appeared in Coup De Grace and the cousin of Booth and Bourne who had their stories told earlier in this series.

The chemistry between this pair is undeniable and I thoroughly enjoyed their interactions and playful banter.

Caro and Saint’s story is a fun, engaging read with plenty of laughs, which is just what you need during the stresses of the holiday season.

Not What I Expected is a raw, authentic, emotional and heartfelt read.  It’s a story of love, loss and finding yourself.  This story feels incredibly real, but also has moment of humor that will have you laughing out loud.

Elsie Smith is a widowed mother, who suffers from both guilt and loss after twenty two years of marriage.  Despite the fact that she feels she lost herself at some point during her marriage and motherhood she’s sassy, strong, fierce, resilient, driven and determined.

Kael Hendricks is a wandering soul, who has settled in Epperly and opened a store that competes with Elsie’s family business.  Despite the twelve year age gap, and competitive nature of this pair their story is fun and flirty.  The chemistry they share is intense and undeniable.

This title will take you through a gamut of emotions.  Whilst reading this inspiring and relatable story I found myself smiling, laughing and crying.  It’s a refreshing story that deals with family dynamics, friendship and small town living, and I was captivated from beginning to end.

The Best of Us - Kennedy Fox

What happens when the biggest blizzard of the year hits and you’re trapped in a cabin with your best friend’s brother? You take every opportunity to spend time together and make him fall in love with you.

The Best of Us is a best friend's brother, opposites attract, and snowed-in together standalone romance.

https://geni.us/thebestofus

The Best of Us is the second title in the Love in Isolation series, and whilst it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading The Two of Us the previous title in the series prior to reading this title.

Kendall and Ryan have known each other since childhood as Kendall is Ryan’s younger sisters best friend, but they have always clashed.  When this duo are trapped in a isolated cabin their true feelings come out.

Ryan and Kendall both come from privileged and wealth families.  Whilst Ryan decided to become an ER doctor, to help others, Kendall tends to live off her inheritance.  Ryan is loyal, fierce, protective and loving.  Whilst Kendall is wealthy, under the privilege is a large giving heart.  She’s sweet, passionate, loving and independent.

The heat and chemistry between this pair is undeniable.

I always enjoy what this duo writes and look forward to their next collaboration.
