BRAND NEW Bellevue Bullies Hockey Romance --
Saved by Love by Toni Aleo is LIVE!
Available on All Platforms
Evan Adler can’t get out of his own head.
Worthless.
Broken.
Failure.
Those are just a few of the words he uses
to describe himself now. Medically retired from the NHL before he even had a
chance to live up to the Adler legacy, Evan has returned to his hometown of
Nashville, Tennessee, to focus on his mental health. But he never expects his
journey of healing to lead him to the University of Bellevue and a position as
the athletic trainer for the women’s gymnastics team.
Bellevue’s star gymnast Callie Pearce is
the ultimate teammate. She is driven, resilient, and when it comes to the
people she loves, she loves harder than she hits the vault table. She grew up
with only her older sister in her corner, but it’s easy for her to be caring to
anyone she meets. She wants to give everyone the kind of love she has, and she
makes sure they know their worth. When Callie finds out Evan Adler is
suffering, and at Bellevue, she will stop at nothing to get to know him.
That first time Evan tapes Callie’s
ankle, she realizes nothing is going to keep her from taking her shot with him.
And together, they’ll use the love they’ve been so richly blessed with in their
pasts to save each other’s future.
Saved By Love
is a friends to lovers, young adult, sports romance and the seventh title in
the Bellevue Bullies series.
For anyone who
is a fan of Toni Aleo’s books you will recognise this pair as Evan has featured
as a side character in quite a few titles including All The Sauce, which
features his twin brother Owen, and Callie is Aviva’s younger sister who featured
in Wild Tendy.
Evan and Callie’s
story is emotional, heartfelt, realistic, and raw. This title has strong themes of family and love,
but there is also a strong focus on mental health, in particular anxiety.
This title is
sure to resonate with many readers who suffer from anxiety. Evan is a flawed, yet realistic character who
despite feeling like a failure and a disappointment is putting himself first. He has retired from professional hockey but
takes on the role of RA for the Bullies hockey house, and trainer for the gymnastic
team, where he connects with Callie.
Callie is resilient,
hardworking, determined, sweet, caring and particularly feisty when it comes to
those she loves and cares for most.
I adored the
connection this pair shared and the way in which they support and build each
other up accepting each other with all their flaws and imperfections. Although their story has its fair share of
ups and downs, it really resonated with me, and I was captivated and enthralled
from beginning to end.
Many familiar
characters from the Assassins, Ice Cats and Bellvue Bullies make appearances
throughout and whilst this title can be read as a standalone, I highly
recommend reading all the titles featuring the Adler family.
