Innocent Ride is Rex (Drexel) Crews and Caroline's (Lux) story. Both these characters were first introduced in one Ride the first book of the series.
Rex is the VP of the Hellions, he's a ladies man who doesn't like to spend time with a woman more than once. Caroline on the other hand is educated, very straight-laced, and chic. Rex refers to her as the deluxe model woman, which is how her nickname came about. Caroline is strong, and she doesn't let Rex walk all over her or flirt his way into her good graces. He has to actually work to gain her attention and affection, something completely new to him.
I really loved the build up of sexual tension between this pair and the back and forth banter made for an incredibly entertaining and engaging story. This book is a sexy, steamy and at times a little dark and makes for a captivating romantic suspense.
I really enjoyed watching Rex's character grow and develop throughout the course of this book, with revelations and acceptance of his past. I enjoyed seeing a vulnerable side to the cocky and outspoken Rex. I look forward to reading the remaining books in this series.
