For the Love of Beard, is the seventh and final title in the Dixie Wardens Rejects series and features Tobias and Audrey. As much as I was incredibly sad to see the conclusion to this series, I adored Audrey and Fender's friends to lovers story. Since Audrey's introduction in Life to My Flight, I had hoped she would find her happy ever after. For the Love of Beard, is well paced, well written and a perfect blend of sweet and sexy.
Tobias aka 'Fender' is a Highway Patrol Officer, and member of the Dixie Wardens Rejects. He is kind, gentle, caring, compassionate but also a possessive, passionate, persistent, intuitive and patient alpha.
Audrey is haunted by events in her past that she would like to forget. She is incredibly resilient, strong, brave and sassy, but has a difficulty with trusting other, and tends to hold herself back from connection with others on a deeper level.
The banter between this pair is playful, fun, flirty and full of humor. The attraction and chemistry between this pair is undeniable, and the sparks fly in this story full of passion, heat and steam.
I love how Lani Lynn Vale integrates characters from her various titles, and it was wonderful to get a small glimpse of Nico and Georgia within this story line.
This book has quite a few twists and turns with drama and action, and a great blend of intensity between heat, heart and humor. At times the plot is quite serious and heartfelt, which is balanced perfectly with moments of sweetness and humor.
I highly recommend this title to anyone who has enjoyed any of Lani Lynn Vale's previous titles, or loves a romantic suspense, contemporary romance or MC romance. I will be eagerly awaiting the opportunity to read the new titles she has releasing in the coming months.
