Bountiful - Sarina Bowen - Release Blitz & Review

No last names. No life stories. Those were the rules.
Once upon a time a cocky, copper-haired tourist sauntered into Zara’s bar. And even though she knew better, Zara indulged in a cure for the small-town blues. It was supposed to be an uncomplicated fling—a few sizzling weeks before he went back to his life, and she moved on.
Until an accidental pregnancy changed her life.
Two years later, she’s made peace with the notion that Dave No-Last-Name will never be found. Until one summer day when he walks into her coffee shop, leveling her with the same hot smile that always renders her defenseless.
Hockey star Dave Beringer has never forgotten the intense month he spent with prickly Zara. Their nights together were the first true intimacy he’d ever experienced. But the discovery of his child is the shock of a lifetime, and his ugly past puts relationships and family out of reach.
Or does it? Vermont’s countryside has a way of nurturing even tortured souls. The fields and the orchards—and hard won love—are Bountiful.

4.5 Stars

I am a huge fan of the True North series, and was so excited to read Bountiful.  Anyone who has read the previous books will be aware of the Zara Rossi's character.  Zara and Dave's story is sweet and sexy, with both heart and humor.  What starts out as a summer fling, results in single parenthood, for Zara until Dave saunters back into her life two years later.

Zara is an intriguing characters she's kind of prickly, very feisty, sassy and strong.  She's very guarded, and independent, but also very headstrong and she's not afraid to say what she thinks.

Dave is your typical bachelor who enjoys a carefree lifestyle of a professional athlete.  He didn't have a stellar upbringing, so I loved seeing how he adapted to parenthood.

Anyone familiar with Sarina's previous works will thoroughly enjoy the cameo appearance of several of the Bruisers characters, and the appearance of the Shipley clan throughout this title.

I loved Zara's overbearing, protective if somewhat misguided older brothers, and hope that at some point in the future they may also have their stories told.

Zara and Dave have an amazing chemistry and instant attraction right from the very beginning of the book.  Their banter is fun and flirty, and their story is well paced and realistic.

Overall Bountiful is an engaging, entertaining, and heartfelt, contemporary romance of family and love.
