Mallory Pierce has been hiding from life after losing her husband and son to a drunk driving accident more than a year ago. Friends tried to help Mallory get back into the swing of things; but it isn’t until she meets Riot MC biker, Cal Robertson, that Mallory begins to live again. The chemistry between Mallory and Cal is explosive from the beginning, and when Cal offers her a ride on his motorcycle, Mallory cannot refuse.
Cal is fascinated by the spunky brunette, who seems to know how to push all his buttons. Things go awry when a situation requires him to bring her to his club. Despite their rocky start, the pair cannot stay away from one another. His protective instincts kick into overdrive when a member of a rival motorcycle club shows a dangerous interest in Mallory. Cal can no longer deny his feelings for her, and the more he finds out about her, the more he wants Mallory in his life.
Permanently.

Unforeseen Riot is the first title in the Riot MC series, featuring Mallory and Cal, and is Karen Renee's debut novel.
I quite liked this pair of characters, Cal is an alpha to the core but can be quite demanding, controlling and protective. Mallory is a good match for him, she's resilient, strong, sassy at times a tad over the top.
I get the feeling the author was trying to emulate Kristen Ashley's writing style, although the characters and dialogue are a tad reminiscent of Kristens' style she didn't quite pull it off. At times the descriptions were to thorough of the outfits, scenery and inner thoughts and it pulled your attention from events. The ending felt a tad anti-climactic after everything the heroine endures.
Cary “Vamp” Sullivan earned his Riot MC patch and shoved Lorraine Francis Ingram out of his life six years ago by cheating on her. He’s regretted it ever since because he knew she was a top-notch woman. After mentioning his regrets to his brother, Cal, Vamp suddenly finds himself faced with an opportunity to win Lorraine back. When he runs into her unexpectedly and finds out she has been beaten at the hands of a man, Vamp and his Riot MC Brothers are determined to protect her. Vamp is determined to get her back in his life, and he knows it’s going to be an uphill battle.
Lorraine insists that if any Riot MC Brother is going to protect her, it cannot be Vamp. She gets no promises from the Riot MC, and she finds herself with Vamp at her doorstep. She’s determined there will be no second chances, but her resolve is weakened because Vamp isn’t playing fair, he’s fighting…fighting to win her over.
Once she and Vamp are reunited again, they realize there is a very real threat to them both. Lorraine and Vamp are put to the test to rekindle their long lost love and stay alive.

Inciting a Riot is the second title in the Riot MC series, a second chance romance, featuring Cary and Lorraine.
Honestly I struggled with this title. After reading Cal and Mallory's book I was really looking forward to discovering more about Vamp, but I found the dialogue, inner thoughts and descriptions to be over the top and very repetitive.
You expect an MC romance characters to have several names, they tend to have the name they were given at birth, and their road name, and I could have kept track of who was who if that was the case. I think Lorraine 'Frankie' Ingram ended up having about five different names she was known by and it frustrated and annoyed me in the end.
Inciting a Riot is more gritty, graphic and violent that the previous title. Although it had quite a few twists and turns, and is well paced, I struggled to connect with the characters, and had to put this book down several times and read something else before I could pick it back up and finish it.
Augustus “Razor” Richardson is prospecting with the Riot MC after being renounced from his old MC. He has a past and a reputation as a ladies’ man, but rarely does a woman so blithely give him the brush-off. He knows something is wrong, but she slips away before he can figure out how to help. When an unexpected phone call puts her back in touch, Razor will stop at nothing to protect Neil from harm. However, Razor’s past isn’t done with him yet. Can he prove to Neil that she can trust him before it’s too late?

Into the Riot is the third title in the Riot MC
series, although it can be read as a standalone. Razor the hero of this title, has appeared on
the periphery in both of the previous titles but most of the events that are
mentioned occurred in the first title of the series. Into the Riot is my favorite of the three
titles so far.
Tennille otherwise known as Neil is my kind of
heroine. She’s strong, feisty, snarky
and independent, determined and driven.
She doesn’t let anyone hold her back from what she wants.
Razor is an alpha to the core, but he’s also
stubborn, sexy, loyal and smart.
The chemistry between this pair is intense, and
they constantly push and pull at each other. Their banter is witty, flirtatious
and quite often with this headstrong pair argumentative.
If you enjoy an MC romance with drama, action,
danger, suspense and intrigue the Riot MC might be just what you are looking
for.
Karen Renee is the author of the Riot MC Series. She has wanted to be a writer from a very early age, and she’s finally bringing that dream to life. She has worked in advertising, banking, and local television media research. She is a proud wife and mother, and a Jacksonville native. When she’s not at the soccer field or cooking, you can find her at her local library, the grocery store, in her car jamming out to some tunes, or hibernating while she writes and/or reads books.
