I was initially drawn to this title as I love a sports romance, and the cover is very enticing.
Christian and Serena's story is a fast paced read, of two individuals that come from different worlds.
Christian is the captain of a new expansion team the New York Nighthawks. He's successful, rich and competitive.
Serena may come from a life of privilege, but she's independent, hard working, independent, snarky, and sassy. She's confident, and strong, yet insecure.
Both characters are complex, yet vulnerable, and although they may appear to be quite different, they have much more in common than it originally appears. Both are driven, determined and have issues with their family.
The chemistry between this pair is undeniable and felt realistic, although at times their story did feel a tad rushed.
