I've been eagerly awaiting Violet and Ace's story after the way her story left off in Havoc, and it didn't disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed this slow burn, friends to lovers romance.
This pair of characters are endearing and complex. Despite his devil may care attitude that he portrays to those around him, Ace is really quite a complex guy. His compassionate, caring, loving, kind and patient traits completed enamoured him to me. I loved the relationship that built between this pair, the connection and chemistry they share is intense, but Violet was still given time to heal, and learn to trust again.
This is an emotional heartwarming story, and despite the serious undertones, I found myself quite often smiling and laughing out loud as I was absorbed by Vi and Ace's story.
Although this title can be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend reading the previous titles as we gain a glimpse into their lives as their stories continue with throughout this tile including a wedding and a birth. I will be eagerly anticipating Menace's story in the coming months.
