Something So Irresistible - Natasha Madison - Release Blitz & Review

Max Horton

They call me an outcast like it's a bad thing.

An asshole byproduct of a shitty upbringing. I don't care about anything except myself and my little sister.

I will always protect what’s mine.

With one year left on my hockey contract I'm keeping my head down and my eyes on the goal.

A collision, with her, changes my entire existence.

Allison Grant

Never fall in love with a sports star. That's what my stepfather always said. He told me athletes are complicated and moody—that the higher their paycheck, the lower their morals.

As public relations for the New York Stingers I know exactly what he means, but I can’t seem to say no to a friendship with one beautiful, damaged man.

What started out as hate turned into something else.

We tried to stay away, to keep our distance, but the pull was too strong.

Something forbidden turned into something so irresistible.

4.5 Stars

Anyone familiar with the Something So series' will be familiar with Max Horton's character.  Max appeared as Matthew Grant's team mate and nemesis in Something So Perfect.  If you're not familiar with the series this title can easily be read as a standalone.

I was instantly intrigued by this title as soon as I read the synopsis, I couldn't wait to see how Max transformed from a hot tempered douche to Alison's suitor.

Something so Irresistible is a slow burn, enemies to lovers romance.  The connection between Max and Alison is just as palpable as their animosity and sexual tension.  As much as they frustrate and dislike each other, their attraction is intense, and chemistry is mutual.

Max is an intense and complicated character.  I really wasn't sure what to expect with this character, but as the story progressed I discovered the hot-headed, smart mouthed, alpha ass is actually a kind, sweet, caring, loving sweetheart.

Alison is an interesting character she's quite strong willed, despite the best attempts of the male members of her family to coddle and protect her.  She manages to be quite spunky and sassy, and gives as good as she gets when it comes to males in her life.

The banter is argumentative, fun, flirtatious and quite full of humor.

Overall if you enjoy an enemies to lovers, sports romance, that is sweet, sexy and funny this is the title for you.

When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...
