Loyalty - Ally Barnes & Debbie Ann - Review

Loyalty
Ally Barnes and Debbie Ann
Havenwood #2

Mitch
I left Havenwood years ago
to find myself and become a man,
I followed my dreams and career
until they became my nightmares.

Now I'm back in Havenwood,
coming home to my family,
a promotion and HER.

I'm not the person I used to be.
Hardened and jaded,
I will never be the right man for Sadie Jenkins,
but that wont stop me from having her
-until the nightmares of my past become my reality,
returning to take vengeance and turn my world upside down.

Sadie
Love, who needs it? Not me.
I have everything i need - good friends,
The Hideaway and my independance.
things are running along smoothly until two
very differnt men with two very differnt agendas
step back into my life completely turning it on its axis.

Never one to back down from a challenge,
I'll meet it head on but then I've never taken on anyone
like Mitch Williams before.
Hard, hot and beautifully flawed.
My heart has been a fortress for so long,
but he has the potential to shatter its walls completely.

Loyalty is the second title in the Havenwood series, and features Mitch and Sadie, a set of characters who both appeared in the previous title Honesty. I was quite looking forward to their story, but I've got to say the cover is pretty easy on the eyes as well.

Mitch left Havenwood as an awkward, skinny teen and returned a different man, his time serving his country turning him into a strong, confident, dominant and charismatic man. Sadie is charismatic and beautiful, both inside and out, but also sassy, feisty and fun.

I really enjoyed the fun, witty, flirtatious and dirty banter this pair share. The chemistry between this pair is intense and palpable. The heat between this pair just oozes off the pages.

It was great to see Eden and Walker appear throughout this story line, and I quite liked the introduction of new characters who I hope we see more of in future additions to the Havenwood series as well.

The character development that was missing in the first title is definitely more prevalent in this title. I quite enjoyed that this title was told in a dual point of view, my only complaint being the repetition of events when told from each view point. I felt it wasn't really required and towards the end I found myself skimming the start of chapters.

The twists and turns, intrigue and suspense, with their past coming back to haunt them, kept me completely enthralled and engaged. I will be looking forward to more of the Havenwood series, and look forward to seeing this writing duo develop further as authors.

Loyalty
Havenwood #1

Living and working in a small country town was not where Dr Samuals, envisioned his life leading him.

Leaving behind a troubled past filled with wrong decisions and the wrong person. he needed to salvage his career and reputation.

All he had to do was keep his head down and stay focused.

Simple...

Until a chance encounter with the woman that can completely derail his plans and ignite a desire he had never experienced before.

She was everything he wasn't.

Eden, strong, innocent and sensible. She had always been that way. Her dream was finally coming true with the Hideaway. Everything was going to plan, until he walked into her store for coffee.

Tall, dark and utterly gorgeous.

Could she survive his dark past?

Lyric

A stand-alone romance novel in the Rebel series – a Redemption series spin-off

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Molly McAdams delivers the first captivating, stand-alone novel in her REDEMPTION series spin-off—the REBEL series . . .

I’m not the kind of girl you forget.
I wish I was.
I wish I was normal.
That I could blend into a crowd. Have a future with the man I’ve loved my entire life…

Maxon James understands me in a way others can’t.
For as long as I can remember, he’s vowed that one day he would claim my wild, rebel heart. God knows I wanted him to try. I wanted the life he promised me in his lyrics.
But his assurances couldn’t change the past, and the infamous mafia blood in my veins guarantees my heart can’t be claimed.

Somewhere along the way, I slipped. I let myself believe we could have it all. Now a dark, menacing shadow hovers between us, mocking us for daring to hope for a normal future.

And it’s come to collect on a blood oath.

My name’s Elizabeth Borello—Libby for short. Don’t worry about forgetting it… He hasn’t.

Lyric is the first title in the Rebel series, a spin-off of the Redemption series.  I haven't personally read the Redemption series, and didn't feel lost in regard to the story line, so you certainly don't have to have read it in order to enjoy Lyric.

Lyric is a contemporary romance, that blends together mafia ties and rock stars.  The plot is fast pace, and unique with complicated, but endearing characters, and is packed full of intrigue, suspense ad danger.

Due to Maxon's lifestyle as a rock star and Libby's inability to be tied down, and circumstances out of her control their relationship is sporadic at best, and although they are not exclusive their feelings and connection is intense, and passionate and compelling.

Libby is independent, impulsive, feisty, sassy and will do anything to protect those she holds dear.  Maxon is genuine, kind and caring, and oblivious to the mafia lifestyle, but he defies the rock star stereotype and is not only like-able but also relate-able.

Lyric is simply enthralling, I was captivated from the very first chapter and cannot wait to experience more of the Rebel series in the future.

Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband, daughter, and fur babies. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and fried pickles, and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm ... or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.

Bosco - Geri Glenn - Release Blitz & Review

Title: Bosco
Series: A Kings of Korruption MC Novel #5
Author: Geri Glenn
Genre: MC Romance
Release Date: April 30, 2018

Sarah

I was just six months pregnant when I lost the man I was going to marry. Mouse was caught in the crosshairs of a war between the Kings of Korruption MC and a rival club, leaving me to raise our daughter alone. Brokenhearted, angry, and terrified, I struggle through life, determined to raise my daughter the best way I know how.

Since the day Mouse was killed, Bosco has been tasked with watching over us. As time passed, he became a part of the family, a man my daughter can rely on. A man who has never let me down, and whose intensity makes me weak in the knees. But that man is part of the same club that got Mouse killed, and there’s no way I can put myself or my daughter through that a second time.

Bosco

Taking care of Sarah and her daughter may have started out as a duty handed down to me by the president of my club, but now it’s as vital to me as breathing. Now I’ve become attached. I’ve learned how kind, brave, and sexy Sarah is. I was even there when she gave birth to the little girl that captured my heart the moment she took her first breath.

My feelings for her have turned from friendship to an all-consuming passion that threatens to burn me from the inside out, but I know she’s not ready. So, I wait. I wait while she takes the time she needs and stand by while she grieves. But when the world as we know it is rocked on its foundation, I can’t wait any longer. I need to prove to her that it’s okay to move on, that we need each other. That I will do whatever it takes to make her happy.

Sarah grins back and I can’t stop myself from looking down any longer. Since the second she opened that door, I’ve been fighting the urge to check her out in that tiny silk robe. It falls just below her ass, and if the hair in the towel thing is anything to go by, I know she’s buck assed naked under there.

I drag my eyes away from her slender legs and freeze. The front of the robe is gaping open and the swell of her breasts are right there, in front of me, begging me to touch. “Babe,” I say softly. “I’m gonna need ya to go put some clothes on.”

Sarah’s eyes go round and her cheeks flame as she gasps and looks down at what she’s displaying. “Oh, God.” Her hands come up and she grasps the material together. As she rushes by me, I reach out and take her arm, stopping her as she passes.

Every ounce of oxygen leaves my lungs as her eyes come up to meet mine from beneath her long dark lashes. My gaze drops to her parted lips, and the urge to lean down and press my mouth against hers almost consumes me.

Slowly, I lower my head, her warm breath mingling with my own. I can’t breathe.

4 Stars
I’ve enjoyed each and every title in the King of Korruption MC Series, and although Bosco, is the fifth addition to the series, it was no exception.

When I pick up an MC Romance, I expect it to have strong bonds of loyalty and brotherhood, which are certainly prevalent in Bosco, but this friends to lovers romance is also a highly emotional story of loss, love, and moving on with life.

Both Bosco and Sarah are endearing, strong, relate-able and realistic characters.

Bosco’s patience, persistence and compassion seems to know no bounds when it comes to Sarah and her young daughter.  Sarah is a single mother who is alone, and determined to give her daughter the best she can under difficult circumstances.

Although this is the final title in the Kings of Korruption, I will be eager to read Geri’s future titles, and hopefully see more of these characters in the future.
