This Time Around is an emotion filled, slow burn, small town, second chance romance told in a dual point of view.
Rebecca Splendid is a country girl, rancher and widow. She's and independent, strong and determined woman, grieving and struggling to deal with the loss of her husband. Cooper Hawke is a Hollywood movie star. He's patient, loving, kind and sexy, and a gentleman to boot. Although this pair come from different worlds they are both struggling to move on from their past and have much more in common than you'd expect. The chemistry this pair share is undeniable and oozes off the page.
Secrets, a touch of intrigue, and romance will keep you turning the pages. I noticed that some questions raised were left unanswered to a degree, so I hope it's referenced in future additions to the series.
Although I personally found the pace to be a tad too slow for me, the plot progresses at a realistic pace and it's quite an enjoyable read.
The secondary characters are quite entertaining and engaging, and I will look forward to seeing them appear in future titles of this series. I quite enjoyed the ending and will be eagerly waiting to see who will appear in the next addition to the series.
