I literally read hundreds of books a year, but the Fight for Me series was one that I connected with on a personal level. Follow Me Back features Evan as a small child who has a rare congenital heart defect, that results in a heart transplant. My own son was born with a rare congenital heart condition so this one hits very close to home for me.
A.L. Jackson has a way of shattering your heart and then putting it back together piece by piece. I adored Rex and Rynna, and the precocious Frankie Leigh in Show Me The Way, and Kale and Hope in Follow Me Back, so I couldn't wait to read the story of this friends to lovers romance.
Evan broke the hearts of everyone around him when he disappeared without a word, but in particular Frankie Leigh. Although her love is unconditional, it's her trust that is tested when he returns to Gingham Lakes.
It's a moving and emotional second chance romance with secrets, suspense, intrigue, danger and love! I adored the connection this pair shares whilst undeniable, underneath the hurt is so much passion and love.
I highly recommend Hold onto Hope, and look forward to A.L. Jackson's next release.
