However, from the moment she saw him sitting next to her at a professional baseball game, a game she didn’t even want to be at but was dragged to by her blind date, she couldn’t look away.
Then the kiss cam came on, featuring none other than her and the handsome stranger.
Without missing a beat, he kissed her.
Then her blind date decided to pull a knife and try to stab him.
From that point forward, she’s done nothing but cause him trouble.
Trouble that he’s starting to find increasingly adorable.
Sinners are Winners is the fifth title in the KPD Motorcycle Patrol series and features Saylor and Lock, and their story is one of six degrees of separation. I love how all of Lani's characters and books are intertwined.
For anyone who is familiar with Lani's work, Saylor is the daughter of Kettle who was featured in Halligan to my Axe and Lock is Downy's son who is featured in Bang Switch.
As with all of Lani's books Sinners are Winners is well written and engaging with banter that is witty, fun and flirtatious and there are moments of humor that have you laughing out loud. Saylor and Lock's story is fast paced, and full of suspense, intrigue, drama, and steam.
The connection this pair shares is instantaneous. Both characters are endearing, Saylor is relatable, whilst being quick witted, sassy, independent, but also willing to accept help when needed. Lock is protective, sweet, kind, caring and sexy. This former military man turned KPD motorcycle patrolman, is incredibly kind hearted, but definitely an alpha to the core.
I've enjoyed each addition to this series, and cannot wait to see what Lani comes up with next.
