ANY DAY NOW
By Lani Lynn Vale
Release Date: August 11
Amelia loves her good
friend, Avery. So much so that she agrees to do the stupidest thing ever.
A stranger photo shoot.
You know the type. The
photographer takes photos of two individuals. Two individuals that, until that
day, have never met in their life.
The moment she shows up
at the photo shoot, she knows that she made a terrible decision.
Why? Because the total
stranger about to be in an intimate photo shoot with her is the hottest thing
that’s ever walked the streets of Kilgore, Texas. If not the entire US of A.
***
Adam wasn’t sure why
the hell he agreed to something so stupid.
Call it temporary lapse
of sanity.
When the photographer
who shot his photo for the Kilgore Police Department’s benefit calendar asked
him for a favor, he couldn’t say no. Not without looking like a jerk seeing as
it was benefiting the Fallen Officer Foundation that he played a rather large
part in.
Whatever it was that
made him agree, he quickly realizes that it’s not worth it. Not when he walks
into the studio and sees the massive bed with blood-red sheets dominating the
middle of the room.

Any Day Now is the eight title in the Swat
Generations 2.0 series, featuring Amelia and Adam. Amelia’s parents are featured in Counter to My
Intelligence from the Heroes of Dixie Wardens MC, as is her brother Sebastian
in Lights to My Siren. Her other two
siblings Sam and Shiloh are featured in the Freebirds series. Sam’s story in Boomtown and Shiloh’s in Texas
Tornado. Adam’s parents are also
featured in the Freebirds series in Last Day of My Life. I first stumbled on Lani’s work with the Freebirds
series, and loved seeing these characters featured throughout this title.
Amelia and Adam’s story starts with a meet cute
of a stranger photo session, and as with all Lani Lynn Vale’s books there is quite
a bit of drama, but also plenty of heat, heart and humor.
Whilst a complete alpha, Adam is also strong,
sweet and soft hearted.
Amelia is stubborn, resilient and rebellious. Although shy, she’s not afraid to stand her
ground.
I loved the connections to their families, and Adam’s
Swat teammates. Although the plot was a
tad predictable at times I still thoroughly enjoyed Adam and Amelia’s story and
look forward to the next release in the series.
