After surviving a messy divorce and custody
battle, Dr. Connor Wallen quickly became married to his job. Helping animals is
the perfect distraction from his crazy ex, but he finds it difficult to
concentrate when an attractive woman joins his veterinary clinic. Getting
involved with someone who works for him would only lead to disaster, so staying
professional is key.

Elizabeth
Bishop can’t stand her boss or how he treats her, but there aren’t many job
options in small-town Texas. No matter what she does, it’s never good enough
for Connor, but she continues trying to impress him anyway.

Avoiding
him is impossible, but Elle keeps her distance whenever possible. After his
walls start to crumble, she knows her feelings aren’t one-sided. She’s tired of
playing his games and is ready to prove who’s really in control.
Although
he pushes her away, she’s determined to pull him closer—showing him exactly what
they’ve both been missing.
**Bossing
the Cowboy is a complete stand-alone and can be read without reading any of the
other books or spin-off series, but if you prefer to read in order, start with
Hitching the Cowboy as the characters and families do interconnect.**

Bossing The Cowboy is the fourth title in the
Circle B Ranch series, an angsty, emotional slow burn, single parent, workplace
romance.
I’ve been eagerly awaiting Connor and Elle’s
story since reading Wrangling the Cowboy.
Whilst you can read this title as a standalone, I highly recommend the
previous titles, and would recommend reading Wrangling the Cowboy prior to this
title if you don’t want spoilers as a good portion of this title runs concurrent
to the previous book.
Connor Wallen is Elle’s boss and mentor. He tends to come across as quite cold, rude,
and standoffish, except when it comes to his young daughter. Connor is a confident and sexy alpha, who’s outward
behavior is an to keep his heart intact, after being burned by his ex.
Elle is interning in Connor’s veterinary
practice whilst undertaking her studies and is driven and determined to impress
her boss with her knowledge, skills, and intelligence. She’s sassy and fierce, but also kind, caring
and compassionate.
This pair of characters are complex, and their
development is evident over the course of this title. The connection and chemistry they share is passionate,
sexy, and steamy.
I loved the interactions and banter between
Elle and her bishop cousins and look forward to seeing the rest of this
generation find their happy ever after.
