Finding Solace is the third title in the Kings of Retribution MC series, but can easily be read as a standalone. This was my first time experiencing this writing duo's work, and it didn't disappoint.
Reid is a brooding, damaged alpha. After being hurt in an accident, he's is not only recovering physically, but he's still coming to terms with loss and grief from his past.
Mila is sweet, kind, caring and compassionate. She's a single mother to a young daughter Ava, who is just adorable. Having been raised in a cold and neglectful home as a child, the only love she's has ever know came from her grandmother. The grandmother she so dearly loves is slowly slipping away to the grips of Alzheimer's. Mila is loyal and has dedicate her life to caring and nurturing others and when she loves it's fiercely and with her whole heart.
Both characters are endearing, realistic and strong. In their own way they are both grieving the loss of a loved one. Mila and Reid's story is incredibly sweet, the relationship between Reid and Ava is heartwarming. The chemistry this pair share is undeniable.
Finding Solace is a well written, story with twists and turns that kept me completely engaged and entertained. I will be eagerly awaiting future titles by this writing duo, and will be adding the previous titles to my never ending to be read list!
