Get it on is the fifth title in The Man of The Month series,
a second chance romance, featuring the owner of the Fix on sixth, Tyree Johnston. Although this title can be read as a standalone,
personally I would recommend reading the previous titles in order to fully
comprehend the back story of each of the characters.
Tyree is a widower and single father, raising his teenage
son alone after the loss of his wife. This
former veteran is well liked, and respected by his friends and colleagues
alike, and garners not only their respect but loyalty. Tyree is wrecked with guild and battles his grief
and pain whilst trying to move forward with his life.
Eva Anderson was Tyree’s first love, and she unexpectedly re-enters
his life. The chemistry between this
pair is intense and the more time they spend in each other’s company it’s obvious
their connection and feelings from the past were just laying dormant.
Get It On is a fast paced, fun, and quick read, featuring a
pair of sweet, realistic characters who’s story is told from a dual point of
view. As much as I enjoyed this story, I
felt the ending was a tad rushed, and that some of Tyree’s doubts were overcome
very quickly. I enjoyed the fun,
flirtatious, witty and somewhat argumentative banter. I hope
that we see more of this pair, and their evolving relationship in future titles
in The Man of The Month series.
