Finding out my husband, my best friend, only had months to live was devastating.
Sitting out under the star-filled sky, listening to him wish on star after star, night after night, almost killed me.
He never wished to get better.
He wished for me to be happy.
He wished for me to find the strength to move on.
I told him his wishes were pointless, because happiness wouldn’t exist without him.
I found out soon after he passed away that I was pregnant.
But I had no idea his final wish would bring me something I never thought I’d find again.

One Last Wish is the third title in the Shooting Stars series. I haven't read the previous books, and wonder if that affected my opinion of this title. I enjoyed quite a bit of Denver and Aubrey's story. It's a fast paced, sweet and light romance, and I think that's why I couldn't rate it higher.
When I read the synopsis of One Last Wish I was expecting an emotional, angst ridden title of a woman lost to grief. Instead I found a story with large time jumps for the first part of the book, and very little information regarding Aubrey's relationship with her late husband Gabe. I would have loved to have seen interactions between this pair to really grasp the relationship they shared. Their was so much potential with this title to leave more of an impact than it did.
Denver is a sweet, sexy alpha the type of hero I've come to expect from Ms Reynolds. He's also kind, caring, loving, patient and very determined. Aubrey on the other hand is quite indecisive in nature, and although understandable considering her past it does become quite repetitive. She's a great mother, sweet, kind and strong.
Although not my favourite of Ms Reynolds titles, it's still well worth a read for anyone who enjoys a second chance contemporary romance.
