Reed
I
never wanted to be a cowboy, living in a small town was suffocating.
The
military was my out.
I
saw every place I ever wanted and everything that nightmares are made of.
Until
I almost lost my life and then I ended up back home.
Hazel
Finding
out that I was pregnant the night before I left for college changed everything.
I left that small town and vowed to never return.
When
my grandfather died, I had no choice but to go back home.
The
plan was just for two weeks.
I
thought it would be quick and easy, until he was standing at the back door
asking questions.
Secrets never
stay secrets for long in this town.

Southern Sunshine is the eight and
final title in the Southern series, and features reed, the son of Casey and Quinn
who featured in Southern Comfort and younger brother of Quinn, featured in
Southern Heat. This title is a heart-warming,
sweet, and emotional, small town, slow burn, second chance romance.
Quinn is sick of living in the shadow
of his older brother and father and is desperate to escape the small town he
has lived in his entire life. With feeling
like he didn’t measure up, and wanting to be recognised for his own achievements,
Quinn joins the military with little intention of returning home, which he
accomplishes until he gets injured six years later and returns home to aid in
his recovery.
Hazel was Quinn’s childhood neighbour
and friend, she’s a sassy, strong and determined single mother, who only
returns to her hometown after the loss of her grandfather.
The chemistry between this pair is undeniable
when they reconnect, and just as intense as when they were teens.
I highly recommend this enjoyable
series, especially if you enjoy a series with interconnected titles and strong
themes of family, friendship and love.
