Cruel Money was my first time reading any of K.A. Linde's work and I was completely captivated by this intriguing and angst ridden title. Penn and Natalie's second chance romance is a fascinating story set in the unscrupulous world of the Upper East Side. The first addition of the Cruel series is full of lies, deceit, manipulation, passion, drama and love.
This being my first time reading K.A. Linde's work I haven't read the prequel novella One Cruel Night, but you can bet I've added it to my tbr.
Natalie is an interesting character she's strong, intelligent, confident, open and honest. She's driven and determined to succeed when it comes to writing a great romance.
Penn is a bit of an ass to begin with. This wealthy alpha is brooding and enigmatic, but you can't help but be drawn in by his charming and handsome demeanor.
The banter this pair share is insightful, and often witty, flirtatious, sarcastic and has moments of humor.
I will be eagerly awaiting the next addition to the Cruel trilogy.
