I absolutely adore Toni's Assassins series and the Bellevue Bullies, so when you combine characters that have appeared in both series you could say I was just a tad eager to read the first title in the Ice Cats series.
If you've read End Game you will be well aware of Amelia and Chandler's history.
Chandler is a professional hockey player and a divorcee. He was in love with the idea of love and picked the wrong woman. Chandler is such a swoon worthy hero, a gentleman to the core he's patient, respectful, kind, funny and loyal and has a huge loving heart.
Amelia is battered and bruised from her messy marriage and divorce and is hiding from her family, the last thing she expects is for her older brothers best friend to walk into her work place. The vibrant young woman of the past, has disappeared with the damage inflicted by her marriage and she is left vulnerable and broken and disillusioned. Amelia has lost her spark and ambition, and doesn't think she is good enough to go after her dreams or find happiness. Chandler is incredibly patient and willing to do anything to support her, to help her realise just how strong and resilient she really is, so that she can realise her full potential.
Juicy Rebound is a heartfelt, emotional and inspiring story of family, friendship, healing and love.
If you are a fan of Toni's previous titles you will love that several familiar characters and names throughout this title.
I can't wait to see more of the Ice Cats and will be eagerly awaiting Shelli's story next!
